**Hero Father Risks Life to Stop Gunman at Bondi Beach**

A father of two from Sydney is being hailed as a hero after confronting a gunman during a deadly shooting at Bondi Beach. Ahmed Al Ahmed, a 43-year-old fruit shop owner, had no training or experience with weapons, yet chose to act in a moment of chaos.

As panic spread across the crowded beachfront, Ahmed found himself close to one of the attackers. Instead of fleeing, he made a split-second decision that would later be described as extraordinary bravery.

Footage shows him hiding behind a car, waiting for the right moment. When gunfire paused, he rushed forward and grabbed the shooter from behind, putting him in a headlock.

The struggle lasted only a few seconds, but it was enough. Ahmed managed to disarm the attacker and gain control of the weapon before backing away to safety.

During the confrontation, Ahmed was shot twice. Despite his injuries, he remained conscious and ensured the weapon was placed safely away from others before collapsing.
